Hello all,
What do you think of the European Constitution??? To the Dutch people, will you vote 'yes', 'no' or not at all? (BTW, vote 'yes'...) _________________ Can't we just be friends?

I think it is a good thing. If we want to be a union., then it is always good that we all have a "base" on which we can act as a union.
(I haven't read the constitution yet, but i hope i will)
The only bad thing is, that so many countries worked at the consitution and everyone just look what is best for their country and not for the eu, so that the consitution is probably lowest common denominator of everybody interests. |

same thing happens with every constitution. Here we every province only wanted whats best for them so it took many years for it to come but its defintly a good thing once you get past peoples greed. _________________ "My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met."

Imo this constitution won't lead to a union, it's just more rules.
The idea of a consitution is good, but imo the content should be changed.
of course i haven't read the whole const. but some highlights i've read just didn't make it look to me like this is something i'd like to build an united europe on. |

of course, it is more rules.
but reading through the constitution, the first 1/3 is just about basic human rights, working together under the charta of the united nations, how much money each country gave for the union and that stuff. the last 2/3 are about trading rules, basic laws, agreements, new countries joining/leaving.
all in all it did not sound bad, but of course things could have been discussed more.... |

nein.
reason 1: All the bs mistakes the dutchi politicians made. This makes me wonder how well they can lead our country within europe.
reason 2: read some parts of constitution. Animal rights are fucked in this constitution, since it clearly says. That no rights are violated when its a habit of mankind. Bullfights, cockfights etc. I can give more of these examples. But they can go kiss my ass.
They played their whole campagne wrong and FOR FUCK SAKE. They spend my 25 million to change my mind. WTF is wrong.
I dont care whatever reason i vote. But they lost this one in my park. |
