Hey All
Nice to see that there's still some Wolfie action from you guys, congrats on a good season @ WL again.

I seem to still have access to some areas that perhaps I should'nt... but I have'nt been looking.. honest Very Happy

I popped in just to let you guys know that I'm still thinking about you's all and I miss everyone trying to stab me on the server (NOT) Very Happy

Anyways, for those of you who wanted to know, I see my surgeon tomorrow morning @ 10:40, so I'm hoping a decision will be made regarding the operation I may need, I'll let you know the outcome.

Regards, Dave.....

Hi All... Thanks for all the replies and good wishes, you guys are the best, you really are.

Saw another surgeon today, and an operation is a nailed on certainty, there's no other option left, the only decision to be made is, whether it will one operation or two Shocked ... it surprised the shit out of me tbh.

The first operation involves making the channel in the misplaced vertebra larger in diameter so my spinal chord can be released and then (hopefully) move freely without snagging or rubbing on said vertebra...

The second operation involves fusing the vertebra to the ones above and below, in the hope that moving the vertabra back into line will release my spinal chord from the constant pressure it's under...

Now comes a problem, my surgeon is sending me to "Stanmore" http://www.rnoh-stanmore.org.uk/clinical_services/index.php?smid=0&mid=10 to see yet another surgeon to determine if I do need the second operation, the fusion (it has something to do with bone density as to whether fusion is required Question ), because if I do need the fusion, then both operations will be performed at Stanmore, because the Hospital where my current surgeon resides, does'nt have the facilities for fusion surgery, but if I don't need the fusion or it cannot be performed, then I will having the first operation at my local hospital Rolling Eyes .

So, all in all, at least I know I will operated on, the only problem is not knowing when Very Happy , plus, there's also a risk that one or even both operations will be futile as permanent damage may have already been done Shocked and then there's the "if it all goes wrong" scenario, obviously dying under anaesthetic is possible, but my biggest worry is being unable to walk after the operation(s).

The risk is worth taking as far as I am concerned, the chance to get my life back to "normal" outweighs the risks involved, if I end up in a wheelchair, then so be it, but it'll be the "coolest Cool" chair in town Very Happy

Anyway, that's about it, it's just a case of time now...sorry the post is so long Embarassed .

By the way Jeff, I do know someone who plays Wolfie very regularly..(or would at least "like" to) Rolling Eyes but he's too "low skill" for you guys Wink or so he reckons Razz ... or it may be the fact that he's stoned everynight Very Happy

All the very best to each and every one of you.

Regards, Dave.....

Woohoo, sounds actually good to me, even though it of course has some less good sides, but the operations could get u back on track again! and they'll prevent u from using yr back as excuse to be stoned every night Wink!

Well i wish u all the best and i hope everything will turn out as planned Smile!

As you say you are defenitly going for the operation is good Smile It must have been very hard for you for so long to go through what you have been Sad

I have been under anisthetic twice cos of my bad bike riding Sad I was younger and didnt realy think about a "worst outcome" but I was fine both times Smile

But im sure you will be so much happier once your back is better Smile

On a lighter note, you may not find it funny but this happend to a friend of mine.

He hurt his back in a minor car accident when someone ran into the back of him. He said his back hurt but we thought he was putting it on a bit. So when he was at home one day he was laid down on his back on the floor and he said to his dad "I need the toilet but i think i will wait as my back hurts a bit"

His dad proceeded to yank his legs, he shouted at him "ow you stupid old bastard" or words to that effect lol.

He did then get up went to the toilet, he sat down on the toilet, then he realised he could not get back up off the toilet so he had to get his dad to pull his pants back up Razz

He did not suffer any long term damage it was only a strained muscle or something like that! You would have though he had been shot the way he moaned though Smile

Anyway I hope you all the best Smile

And your firend Wink cant throw airstrikes worse then a certain player tonight to hide his identity I will call him Mr R3D Razz
